Something was wrong.
There was an ominous air in the lab as soon as Liz stepped in for her turn as guard. It was far too quiet. Liz's hand hovered over the gun holstered at her hip and she crept into the room, eyes scanning the room for anything wrong.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Aqua?"
Still nothing. Liz didn't hesitate now, grasping the gun and holding it ready at her side, and turned the corner where Harvey's cage was.
The first thing she noticed was Aqua sprawled on the floor, blood seeping through her blue hair. Liz rushed to her side, kneeling to check her pulse. She was still alive, thankfully. But then she looked up. The cage she had been guarding was empty, bindings strewn on the hay-covered floor, and the ring of keys that Aqua had been carrying hanging off of the lock.
Liz jumped immediately to her feet, gun pointed in front of her. Harvey was loose. If she couldn't find him or a cambot to warn the others soon, this could get ugly real fast.
